Zamil Air Conditioners recently completed the supply, including start-up and commissioning, of HVAC systems and equipment at the plant tissue culture laboratory of Zadna International Company for Investment in Sudan.
Under the terms of the agreement, Zamil Air Conditioners designed, manufactured, and supplied three chillers with a capacity of 150 tons each, 32 custom-made compact vertical air handling units, concealed fan coil units, and fresh air handling units. The custom-built air handling units were designed for hygienic and clean room applications at the newly opened plant tissue culture laboratory at the agricultural management center of Zadna International Company for Investment, located in the Sudanese capital of Khartoum.
This laboratory is the largest and most modern of its kind in Africa and the Middle East region. The latest technologies will be employed in the development and modernization of horticultural production in Sudan. The new laboratory plays a vital role in producing virus-free seedlings, as it contributes directly to the development of banana cultivation in Sudan by introducing international varieties that can be exported, leading to the expansion of agriculture in various regions of the country. The laboratory also develops tissue palm cultivation for various moist date varieties, and the cultivation of potatoes, strawberries, grapes, pineapples, and other crops.
