Zamil Industrial Appoints New CEO and COO 27-October-2009

Zamil Industrial Investment Company “Zamil Industrial” Board of Directors met on Sunday 25 October 2009 and approved the new corporate organization chart. Abdulla M. Al Zamil was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Osama F. Bunyan as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Abdulla Al Zamil will report directly to the Managing Director while Osama Bunyan will report to the new CEO.

The Board wished both Abdulla Al-Zamil and Osama Bunyan great success in their new functions.

Abdulla Al Zamil started his professional career in 1987 at Zamil Air Conditioners as Industrial Engineer. He was promoted few years later to Vice President Sales and Marketing and was also responsible for Purchasing and Material Management, prior to his appointment as Zamil Industrial Chief Operating Officer in 2004.

Osama Bunyan joined Zamil Air Conditioners in 1995 in charge of Material Management and was subsequently promoted to Executive Vice President, Zamil Air Conditioners.

Zamil Industrial Wins Prestigious IT Honor at the ACN Arab Technology Awards 25-October-2009

Zamil Industrial Investment Company ("Zamil Industrial") has won the prestigious award for "Energy and Utilities Implementation of the Year" at ACN Arab Technology Awards 2009. Outstanding work within the region's IT community on world class projects and implementations, leading vendor contributions, and outstanding individual efforts were recognized. The ACN Arab Technology Awards are upheld as the most prestigious IT industry awards in the Middle East.

The awards ceremony was hosted by ITP in association with sponsor Leviton and held in conjunction with a gala dinner on 19 October 2009 at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Dubai, with more than 400 leading technology professionals in attendance.

Nominees competed in 16 categories reflecting work in key vertical sectors, as well as the innovation and support delivered by vendors and partners to their customers. The awards were established to recognize the companies, deployments and individuals that lead the Middle East market in terms of innovation and professional excellence.

Zamil Air Conditioners wins new Ministry Of Education contract 5-September-2009

Zamil Air Conditioners, a sector business of Zamil Industrial Investment Company "Zamil Industrial" and the leading international manufacturer and supplier of air conditioning systems in the Middle East, has been awarded a contract by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Education (MOE) for the supply of Window type air conditioning units, to be used in the educational expansion initiative now underway at several girls’ schools around the Kingdom.

The products supplied for this project have been specifically designed according to MOE specifications, particularly with regard to energy efficiency, performance requirements and special features. It may be noted that MOE is one of the first agencies to adopt energy conservation programs in the Kingdom and these units will save a significant amount of energy due to their high energy efficiency ratios.

The value of this prestigious contract is set at approximately SAR 51 million (USD 13.6 million). The company will manufacture and supply more than 25,500 RAC units with a cooling capacity of 2-ton each, and expects to complete delivery of the products by the end of November 2009.

The agreement to supply and deliver room air conditioning units to the government schools across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represents the latest in a long sequence of similar contracts successfully fulfilled by Zamil Air Conditioners. The company is a widely recognized provider of Room Air Conditioners and Central air conditioning systems and has demonstrated proficiency in providing solutions that meet the specific cooling requirements of governmental, commercial and industrial facilities across Saudi Arabia. Over the years, Zamil Air Conditioners has pioneered the manufacture and supply of innovative products and solutions for customers with widely varying requirements – in particular, governmental agencies and institutions.

Zamil CoolCare Enters Agreement to Provide Electromechanical Supervisory Commissioning System Services for 73 KAUST Structures 21-April-2009

Zamil CoolCare, the regional leader in providing engineering and after sales services to the HVAC industry, has signed an agreement with Saudi Binladin Group to commission the mechanical and electrical systems of all Phase One facilities at the King Abdullah University of Science & Technology (KAUST) project, located on the eastern shore of the Red Sea at Thuwal, Saudi Arabia.

Under the terms of the contract, Zamil CoolCare will provide supervisory commissioning services for the following mechanical and electrical systems: conveying, fire fighting and suppression, plumbing, HVAC, building management, electrical, communications, utility metering, solar and life support. The systems covered by the agreement’s scope of work are located in 73 campus-wide structures of divergent purposes, including residential buildings, research incubators, a visitor center, a library, restaurants, shops, theatres, offices, a yacht club, a boat house, and the University’s Center for Marine Oceanic Research.


Zamil CoolCare has expanded its range of services to reach beyond its considerable HVAC capacity and experience to encompass a broad range of mechanical and electrical systems commonly used in the commercial, industrial and residential facilities it serves.
