Zamil Air Conditioners, a sector business of Zamil Industrial Investment Company “Zamil Industrial” and the leading international manufacturer and service provider of air conditioning systems in the Middle East, announced the launch of its new Customer Contact Center, a high-tech facility that has already begun to expand and improve the customer service experience for Zamil Air Conditioners and Zamil CoolCare clients in Saudi Arabia.
Tamer El Gendy, manager of the new Contact Center, reports that the facility’s new Cisco telephone system provides a variety of powerful features, including automatic call distribution, conditional call routing, call-in-queue and expected wait time messages, enterprise data analysis, real time data, historical reporting, interactive voice response (IVR), computer telephony integration and call treatment.
The Contact Center PRI Line (Primary Rate Interface), containing 30 channels, and the new customer service number (92 0000 468) have been activated. The line can be accessed from any phone – land based or mobile. Customer service representatives also have the capability to use email and fax to supplement client communications, resulting in increased capabilities to provide a more satisfying overall service experience for all parties concerned.
The center uses Salesforce.com, the world leader in customer relationship management (CRM) services. The application is an international award winner, receiving some of the most prestigious industry accolades, including the Technology Award of the Year from InfoWorld, the CRM Excellence Award from Customer Inter@ction Solutions and the CODIE Award for Best CRM.
Utilization of the most efficient call categorization and routing equipment and software available has shaped the goals of Contact Center employees. According to Tamer El Gendy, “The tools available in the new contact center have helped the company to meet current internal and external customer service goals. We seek to exceed our customers' service-level expectations by satisfying each of their needs and requests; monitoring the process with relevant interdepartmental communications; updating customers on the progress of their requests, and tracking customer satisfaction via detailed surveys and evaluations administered at the closure of their case.”

| Geoclima Wins Barclay’s Bank Data Center Project |
20-May-2010 |
|
Geoclima, a strategic business unit of Zamil Air Conditioners and the leading Italian manufacturer of air conditioning systems, has announced that the company is the winner of a prestigious new project — the Dart Data Center at Slough, owned by Barclay’s Bank and located in Berkshire, England.
After one year of intense design activities and negotiations, Geoclima bested Emerson chillers, specified in the original tender, to win the contract. The agreement calls for Geoclima to supply and install five Turbomiser chillers of 1400kw, each equipped with a special free cooling refrigerant pump and designed to operate at an exceptionally low noise level. A further extension of the contract for another seven chillers is expected by the end of this year.
The preparatory work at this site included an environmental noise survey to determine proposed noise limits. Current proposals to meet those limits include the installation of an enclosure around the chiller and loadbank units with evase penetrations at the top and a louvered opening at the base. Assessments have established the noise attenuation requirements for the evase and enclosure louvered opening arrangements.
On the basis of the attenuation requirements specified, the predicted chiller noise levels meet the night noise criteria, considered to be the most critical requirement. The daytime levels are within 2.5 dB of the requirement, and are also considered to be acceptable. To ensure the day and night time noise levels, individual transformer room discharge fan sound power levels will not exceed Lw 74 dBA and transformers Lw 64 dBA.
The predicted loadbank noise contributions are comparable to daytime ambient noise levels. Considering the managed operation of the loadbanks in comparison to other items of the plant, these levels are also acceptable.
No additional attenuation is required for the remote radiators. The generator inlet/discharge louver will be limited to a sound power level of 92 dBA, which can be achieved with1500m long attenuators as is currently proposed. The exhaust need to be limited to LAeq 80 dB at 1m.
The generator room cladding will provide sound insulation of Rw 45 dB, which will be achieved by a lightweight cladding with an internal plasterboard lining.
In related developments, Geoclima, along its distributors in the UK, received a CIBSE Low Carbon Performance Award 2010 for its Turbomiser chiller. At the February 3 ceremony, the Turbomiser was recognized as the winner in the category of Product Innovation of the Year, designating it as the most efficient HFC-based chiller in the world. Geoclima proudly accepted this award, presented after the Turbomiser completed a rigorous program of testing and evaluation against a long list of major international vendors.

| Zamil Air Conditioners Announces
Development of New Process Cooling Chiller Systems
|
13-March-2010 |
|
Zamil Air Conditioners, a sector business of Zamil Industrial Investment Company “Zamil Industrial” and the leading international manufacturer and service provider of air conditioning systems in the Middle East, recently announced the development of its line of Process Cooling Chiller Systems (ASP Series). The specialty chillers are designed to meet a wide range of customer needs with cooling capacities ranging from 10 to 1,000 tons.
Process cooling systems are essential to the functions of various industries and facilities. They cool or extract heat from a fluid required for a process, maintain desired temperatures during a process, or cool a piece of equipment or its components. Process cooling systems must be designed and constructed to withstand the rigors of year-round performance over a wider range of operating conditions than other systems, and reliability, redundancy and flexibility must remain a top priority.
Common process cooling applications include: plastics, chemical, medical, data centers, food processing, concrete batching plants, and most importantly Emergency Personnel Drenching Facilities (Shower & Eye Wash stations). These applications often require specially designed Process Cooling Chillers. In addition, the operational efficiency and production level of such plants are significantly tied to the quality and reliability of their process chillers.
“Successful process cooling for all customers is our ultimate goal. Because we are the unique local producer of these essential and complicated systems, we strive to provide the cost effective, robust designs that assure maximum up-time, as well as the professional services and low cost operation our customers need to operate at the highest level of efficiency and profitability,” said Fawaz Bitar, Chiller Product Unit Head at Zamil Air Conditioners.
Zamil Air Conditioners process cooling systems are designed to handle precision process cooling situations that require more demanding thermal and mechanical performance, more sophisticated control systems and higher expectations for reliability, flexibility and lower operating costs. The first group of new process cooling chiller systems has already been manufactured and delivered. They are currently in use at project sites operated by some of the region’s top companies and industrial organizations.
