In early 2002, the ZIIC made its third acquisition in Europe – a brand and technology acquisition of Kessler Tech, a well-known name for air handlers and ventilation units in Germany.

Kessler Tech is more than 50 years old. The brand with its unicorn-logo is firmly established and well positioned on the market for AHU solutions, as also with integrated refrigeration and control systems.

Consequent to the acquisition, Kessler Clima Tech GmbH will be responsible for the sales activities in Germany, whereas production of its AHUs will take place at Clima Tech factory in Austria.

Kessler Clima Tech ventilation and air handling units (standard, thermal-break free or welded unit series) are suitable for almost all applications in the industrial and comfort areas and are available for indoor and outdoor installation as well as for use in the hygiene sector. Major customer segments for Kessler Tech are pharmaceutical, chemical, automotive industries and power plants.  Its top customers include Hoechst, BASF, Daimler-Chrysler, Ford, Audi, Opel, Volkswagen, Pirelli, German Central Bank, and British American Tobacco.

Kessler Clima Tech has successfully optimized performance of the thermally and acoustically uncoupled sections used in the central air conditioning systems, an achievement which earned it a great deal of attention and appreciation. The Rhine-Westphalia Technical Inspection Authority (RW TÜV) performed a re-assessment of Kessler Clima Tech AHUs and recorded a thermal bridging factor (TB) of 2!

Kessler Clima Tech units can be supplied with designs as per regulations of the RAL-approved Quality Control Association for Ventilation and Air-Conditioning Equipment (Gütegemeinschaft RLT). Its units also conform to all the test procedures of Eurovent Certification.
